“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things.” (Galatians 5:22-23, CSB)
Our students have been studying the book of Galatians and will play in their FIRST ROUND ROBIN this coming Saturday, November 7, in Beavercreek, OH. Please pray for our safe travels, quick recall, and good sportsmanship.
Our teams are:
Pleasant Ridge 1: Jonah Bailey, Kinzie Bailey, Zach Huss
Pleasant Ridge 2: Lilly Bailey, Ruthie Bailey, Zane Huss, Logan Simila
These teams will remain fluid as Pam and I continue to observe and combine the students’ complimentary skills.
Questions? Call/text Crystal Huss (513-906-3936) for more information.
Curious? Open practices are held every Tuesday @3:30 in the fellowship hall.
Stay tuned to this page for more updates as the season progresses!
Please pray for these students as they dive into deeper study of God’s Word: Jonah Bailey, Kinzie Bailey, Lilly Bailey, Ruthie Bailey, Zach Huss, Zane Huss, and Logan Simila.
The prayer point for November will be understanding. Let’s face it; some Bible verses are rather obscure and hard to understand. One of my all-time favorites is “Bring the best of the firstfruits of your land to the house of the Lord your God. You must not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk” (Exodus 23:19, CSB). While it could be said that the Pauline epistles are more practical in nature, there may still be some verses that cause us to scratch our heads and wonder what lesson we are really supposed to glean. One of my Bible college professors used to say, “If you come across a ‘therefore,’ back up in the text to see what it’s there for.” The book of Ephesians is chocked full of therefore’s! Pray that our students will gain greater understanding, by taking the time to go back and study what those verses are there for.
