Hope you all have had a good week so far! Busy, busy, busy. Just because we are only meeting one day a week doesn’t mean things aren’t hopping at the church. Plans for Christmas are moving right along. Let’s get tight to it.
The Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ is looking for people to run the sound board on Sunday mornings. Please get with Wayne Stahl for more info.
Jerry Koons is looking for more people to join the security team at church. Please see Jerry if you are interested.
The giving tree is up with names of residents from the Waters Nursing Home RS on it. So you can pick one and buy for one of the residents. Your gifts need to be returned by Dec. 20th to the church.
The Poinsettia envelopes are on the table in the foyer. Fill it out and place it back in the collection plate in the foyer on the table. Your poinsettia for your loved one will be up front soon. Please do this ASAP.
The church is getting Christmas craft and goody bags for each one of the residents at the Waters of RS. We are assembling the good bags this week and will be getting them out soon.
NEW! Katie Bailey found out that the 81 residents at the Waters in Dillsboro were not receiving anything for Christmas. Not sure how they fell through the crack... BUT Katie got a couple of us together and asked the elders for help and now those residents are getting the same goody bags that our Rising Sun residents are receiving. Thanks Katie and those who helped.
The Church is wishing the kids a Merry Christmas this year with a Holiday Movie Night package for each family with kids in their own home. Those of you who signed up for one should pick them up at church on Dec. 18th or Sunday the 20th.
We will be giving away holiday meal boxes this Dec. 18th also. We will be getting the boxes together and will deliver them on Dec. 18th. If signed someone up and you would rather pick them up and deliver yourself that’s fine. You can pick them up on December 18 at the church.
On Sunday Dec. 27 we will be having a Christmas worship service. Please come and join us in celebrating Jesus’s birth.
There will be no food donation this year for the free store, It is monetary donation only. There is a box on the table in the foyer for Christmas donation. All of which are to help with Free Store Food Givings. Thank you
There's a basket for the Travis Stewart family that lost everything in a fire the day after Thanksgiving. Please give a donation if you can.

Let’s get together to celebrate Christ’s birth! Who wants to join a virtual Christmas Eve service? Thanks to COVID, our church will not be having our annual service, but I would love to have a virtual one for anyone interested! We will be “meeting” on WebEx at 11:00 p.m., EST Christmas Eve. Anyone who would like to contribute by singing, playing or reading something, please message me. I’ll put together a “playlist” to send out for that evening. And if you don’t want to perform but would love to watch, you’re welcome to join too! Send me your email so that I can send you an invite to our meeting! Please respond by Sunday, Dec. 20 so I have time to set everything up. Feel free to tag or share this with your friends, family, and church as well!
